Thank you for being here! I'm excited to run for District 3 on the Sandy City Council. I was raised on a ranch in West Texas, and made my way to Sandy with my husband, Ben, and two daughters. I am most happy when I'm engaging with people: my girls' schools, the skiing community, neighborhood groups, or my own elected officials. Focusing on home is a great place to center my energy and be an active support in making Sandy the best it can be.
I've never been afraid of hard work or jumping in to solve a problem and get the job done. Every day I work with data to make sound, informed decisions and plan to bring that same approach to the business of the city council. I also have extensive experience in real estate development and have worked with Planning & Zoning boards. That experience continues to be relevant as our communities grow and change. I'm running for City Council's District 3 because I know that it takes time and effort to make our community the great place that it is, and I'm eager to be a part of that. I want Sandy to continue to be the great place that it is, for everyone, and I'm excited to be a part of making that happen, for you, my friends and neighbors. The following are my areas of interest as I look at the future of Sandy:
Be part of our team with a donation. Any amount helps our team to be able to meet with as many people in District 3. Donate through Venmo at the link below.
We have yard signs and T-shirts to help spread the word. Fill out the Form linked here to let us know what you'd like, make your donation to the Venmo account, and we'll deliver it to you.
The Primary Election is on August 12! You must be registered to vote 15 days prior to the election to be eligible to vote. Click the link below for information on how to register with the County Clerk's Office.
I love being outside—and in the winter, my husband and I spend most weekends on the slopes. Access to our open spaces and canyons is a big part of what makes our community a great place to live.
For the past five years, I have volunteered with a rescue called Rescue Rovers, fostering more than 50 dogs. Our own two dogs, Comet and Rhody, grumpily help nurture the parade of pups that come in and out of our home.
A great experience in my life was the time I spent working with a nonprofit in Austin, Texas, which connected local government officials and community members to work together to solve identified goals.
Along with my husband, Ben, and our two daughters, I love where I live! I'm also a friend, a neighbor, and community member. I know that in order for Sandy to continue to be a be a great place, we need to make sure it works for all its residents.
