Iva Williams for Sandy City Council District 3

Join me in making a meaningful change in the way we engage in our political system. I believe in people-centered policies and facilitating a strong community that works for everyone living here in Sandy. 

I’m not interested in politics as usual, but in policies that work. 

I am the candidate for you because:

  • You believe that party politics have no place in city government.
  • You believe public safety is a priority for a thriving community.
  • You believe that Sandy's open spaces are precious and should be protected.
  • You believe growth is inevitable, but know if we have a plan and require future development to adhere to our plan we all benefit.
  • You believe water and other natural resources are precious and all future development needs to use them wisely and sustainably
  • You believe traffic up Little Cottonwood Canyon is a problem, but like me, believe the Gondola is the not the way
  • You believe strong communities, centered around the people living and working in them, are essential to the health of our nation.

Friends of Little Cottonwood Canyon is committed to protecting Little Cottonwood Canyon and it's inhabitants, as well as access for recreation. I am proud to join in their fight against the gondola and protecting the natural beauty of the canyon and continued access to lands for recreation. 

Equality Utah

Equality Utah is a civil rights advocacy group that does amazing work in the state of Utah. I'm so appreciative to have the support of this organization behind me.
